Purdue basketball walk-on Tommy Luce channels his inner fitness instructor – IndyStar

The legend of Tommy Luce stretches far and wide.
He’s a Purdue basketball sophomore walk-on, a Paint Crew favorite, a former player at Richmond and Jeffersonville high schools and a scorer of nine points as a Boiler (one as a freshman, eight this season).
Perhaps you didn’t know he was a 1980s fitness instructor — or at least he plays one in “Gettin’ Loose,” a video released this week by Purdue Athletics.
Luce leads a couple of interestingly dressed people in side stretches, defensive stance stretches (“Remember, defense wins  championships!”) and something called “Haarm-ees,”  an homage to emotional Boilers freshman Matt Haarms (“Punch, wave, hair flip.”).
Don’t forget to “shake it out.”
